6th Small Claims Procedure Quarterly Meeting Held
Participants at the Small Claims Procedure (SCP)
The Small Claims Procedure (SCP) Registry today held its 6th quarterly Review Meeting at Maya Nature Resort in Mpigi District.
The meeting drew participants from Buwama, Mpigi, Butambala, Bujuuko,Kibibi, Nsangi and Kanoni courts and their staff.
The meeting was to assess SCP performance for individual courts as well as sharing best practices to improve service delivery.
HW Beatrice Stella Atingu, the Registrar Alternative Dispute Resolution(ADR) who opened the meeting urged the participants to embrace ADR mechanisms.
The Assistant Registrar in Charge of SCP, HW Mastula Mulondo, appealed to them to get used to the SCP reporting tool so that accurate data is captured.
She pledged to continue sharing best practices to improve the performance of SCP.
The Chairperson SCP Implementation Committee, Justice Geoffrey Kiryabwire, responded to concerns and challenges from different court stations. He reassured the participants of the support of the Committee in matters to do with sensitization and training and not to let the initiative to crash.
